the earth is not my home?

you have heard it said “the earth is not my home.  i’m just passing through.”

i say the earth is my home.  satan is a squatter, & i’ve got the eviction notice.

DOING CHURCH OR DOING KINGDOM?

God has invested huge resource in us… for a reason!

He is passionate about kingdom, so he has given us kingdom resources. There is nobody on planet earth right now that is more passionate about doing kingdom than the Holy Spirit is. He is obsessed with kingdom.

Why?… because Jesus was obsessed, & Jesus said he was sending another counsellor just like him. Another kingdom-obsessed teacher.

God’s kingdom is not simply designed for ‘heaven’…

because God is the creator of the whole world, and his entire purpose is to reclaim that whole world as his own and to set it on the way to become the place he always intended it to be, before human rebellion pulled it so disastrously off track.

That, in fact, is the message of the four gospels, despite many generations of misunderstanding.

division between heaven + earth is gone.

when people take on a kingdom mindset, they tend to think heaven is up there, n we have to drag it down from a distant place.

it’s not distant.

when you receive christ, the kingdom is in you!

heaven is local, it’s in your zipcode.

When Jesus died on the cross…

…the saints took possession of the kingdom. We received dominion, glory and the Kingdom of God.

It is time for us to change our mindset so we can leave a legacy;

the kingdoms of this world becoming the Kingdom of our God.

“God’s kingdom” in the preaching of Jesus refers not to postmortem destiny,

not to our escape from this world into another one,

but to God’s sovereign rule coming “on earth as it is in heaven.”

i refuse stalemate in my life!

bring. it. on.

confront.  expose.  heal.  admonish.

deliver.  restore.  rebuild.  rebuke.

shake me up.  turn me round.  build me up.  tear me down.

do whatever it takes…

BUT NO STALEMATE!

the kingdom of god is in me, its on me, around me, it surrounds me.

the father has chosen gladly to give me the kingdom!

chosen gladly… he doesn’t change his mind.

i take it.  believe it.  receive it.  embrace it.

I AM BLESSED!

I AM BLESSED TO BE A BLESSING!

it’s becoming a part of me.

it changes how i think.  it changes how i talk, how i walk, how i hold my head high…

I AM THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD IN CHRIST!

so that’s why there’s no stalemate.

i represent something… no someone, far greater than i.  his order must stand.  KINGDOM COME!

i hold this honor with humility, yes, but with confidence, full & complete confidence.

GREATER IS HE THAT IS IN ME THAN HE THAT IS IN THE WORLD.

i am not on the defensive.  i am not retreating.  I AM STANDING!

LET YOUR KINGDOM COME!

random thoughts…

It’s kinda ironic… Jesus only mentioned church once (well he mentioned ecclesia anyways, but most bibles call that ‘church’)…

…And he makes it clear that HE is building HIS church. He never passed on that assignment… he is still building HIS church.

But kingdom… he mentioned that heaps of times. It was his message, it was in his parables, and it was in the assignment he passed on to the twelve & then the seventy.

And this assignment, doing kingdom, he DID pass on. He makes it clear… the father is pleased to give you the kingdom. It’s all yours!

saints, you have a gift for the nations…

the gift of righteousness you received from christ is not for you alone…

righteousness exalts a nation.

your gift is designed to influence nations.

christianity says…

this world is not my home, i’m just a passing through.

i say…

the earth is my home, satan is a squatter, & i have the eviction notice.
